FIPS 140-3 has been in the works for close to a decade, and was officially announced in March of 2019 .  NIST published they will begin to accept modules for testing late 2020; CDI will submit products for FIPS 140-3, when testing becomes available.  FIPS 140-2 will remain active until later 2026.
